Description

Over twenty years ago, Bush bravely followed up their 1994 multi-platinum juggernaut of a debut, Sixteen Stone, with a darker, more cerebral sophomore effort in Razorblade Suitcase. Produced by Steve Albini and recorded at London’s Abbey Road Studios, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 293,000 copies during its first week of release in the US and staying alive with hit singles “Greedy Fly” and “Swallowed”. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this 3x platinum album, the band announced a deluxe, remastered LP edition titled Razorblade Suitcase (In Addition) via Round Hill/Zuma Rock Records. In addition to the original remastered album, the reissue included four rare bonus tracks: “Old”, “Broken TV”, “Bubbles”, and “Sleeper."

This 2021 reissue for Ten Bands One Cause is available on pink vinyl.

Bush - Razorblade Suitcase (in Addition)

  • Ten Bands One Cause 2021
  • 2x LP Pink Vinyl
  • Gatefold Jacket
  • Limited to 5000 copies

RELEASE DATE: 11/19/2021

Ten Bands re-issue their albums on limited edition pink vinyl, all for one cause. This is the 8th year for the initiative, and a portion of the proceeds from each shipment will go towards the Red Door Community (formerly Gilda's Club NYC).

The nonprofit's mission is to create a welcoming community of FREE cancer support to bring knowledge, hope, and empowerment to anyone and everyone impacted by cancer and their families. They are committed to expanding their program and broadening their reach to meet the growing needs of individuals living with cancer, in more places, and in more ways than ever before.

Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London with engineer Steve Albini, Razorblade Suitcase's sound has been compared by many to Nirvana's In Utero album, which was also engineered by Albini. The album is widely considered to be the final "grunge" album of the first wave of '90s grunge bands.

Bush released the remastered album along with bonus tracks on double LP in celebration of the 1996 album's 20th anniversary.
